Dementia Action Week (15-21 May) is an awareness raising campaign Each year the Alzheimer’s Society works with individuals and

organisations across the UK to encourage people to ‘act on dementia’. This year

the theme is timely diagnosis. Today at Highwell House we invited friends and

family to come and join our Dementia Cafe We chatted about dementia, raised awareness on what charities are trying to achieve and we signposted families to community support groups. We gave out purple ribbons to wear and we enjoyed a fabulous quiz. It was a lighthearted and fun afternoon but one which carried a special message.
