Coldwells House Vintage Summer Fete and welcomes the Mayor
On the afternoon of the vintage summer fete on Sunday 15th July Madam Mayor, Councillor Sue Boulter opened the proceedings and received a bouquet from residents Meryl and Derek.
Entertainer Christine sang a selection of 1940's / 1950's songs from the gazebo. While house keeper Sue and our volunteers ran the plant, tombola, raffle, pimms and bric-brac stalls on behalf of Coldwells house. Andrew Dwyat, David Jones and Diane ran sweet shop, jewellery and textiles, community stalls respectively.
Afternoon tea and cream teas were served in the orangery and on the patio as well as strawberries donated by S & A Davis. The sun shone all afternoon and we were well attended by family and community.
